We provide an enormous number of items for hire and have grouped them to make it easier for you to identify what you require. We have provided our Hire Rules which you must read before hiring equipment. Please email info@macsound.com.au for more information on your future project.

Specials We often have various items on special until stocks run out.

 

The different equipment groups, found in more detail further down the page, are:

  • Lighting Equipment , including; theatre lanterns, follow spots, floodlights, PAR lanterns, disco and party lighting, lighting control equipment, foggers, electric candles and gobos
  • Sound Equipment , including; systems, amplifiers and components, speakers, microphones, radio microphones, stands, communications
  • AV Equipment , including; video projectors, screens, AV cables, monitor splits, IR extenders
  • Portable Staging , including; Portafloor Stage panels and steps

Hire Rules

HIRE CHARGES

All hires are to be paid by Cheque, Cash or Credit Card when the equipment is picked up, unless prior arrangements have been made. Hire charges consist of an initial day charge plus additional daily charge rate. The first day is charge for first day of hire, additional days (or part thereof) are charged at the additional daily rate. Note: We only charge for a six (6) day week. Long Term is 3 weeks or longer. Overdue equipment (including equipment not returned promptly on the day of completion of hire) will incur a double daily charge for the period not covered by the agreement. Your delay in return of equipment may mean an inconvenience to another hirer. In accordance with normal commercial practice, Macsound reserve the right to charge a deposit on hired equipment, such deposit being fully refunded on completion of the hire transaction & return of the equipment in satisfactory condition.

Loss or Damage

The customer is required to accept full responsibility for loss or mechanical damage howsoever caused from the time the apparatus is delivered from our warehouse or van either to the customer or to another carrier, until returned to our warehouse or van. You should arrange your own insurance (Fire, Theft, Public Risk and Accidental Damage)

Extension of Hire

To avoid any inconvenience to other hirers any extension of hire must be arranged prior to termination of original hire. All equipment to be returned PROMPTLY at the end of hire period. See Hire Charges.

Leads

A lead rolling and cleaning fee of $25.00/hour may be charged for leads returned incorrectly rolled, unrolled or with tape left on them. Customers are entitled to one 10m lead per lantern (Marked *). Extra leads are chargeable. Please DO NOT USE masking or packaging tape on leads. ALL tape and adhesive to be removed prior to return of hire. Please tape rolled leads with plastic insulation tape or use the attached string.

Lamps

We undertake to maintain lamps in the case of electrical failure under normal working conditions but the customer must accept full responsibility for mechanical damage. A proportion of spare lamps is ordinarily included in each consignment. All faulty lamps must be returned for inspection or they will be charged to the customer.

Battery Policy

Any unit (Microphone, Megaphone) requiring batteries will have tested working batteries in them, but there is no guarantee on how long they will last. EXTRA BATTERIES ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, so please arrange extras when you pick up your hire. Unused packs of batteries will not be charged for if returned unopened.

Delivery

All Hire charges are ex our warehouse. Any freight or delivery charges incurred by us on the customer's behalf will be charged at cost.

Minimum charge $50.00 for delivery and/or $50.00 for collection.
